6 Health Benefits of Listening to music

Music can be an effective treatment and positive for people dealing with mental health conditions.

"There are two different ways are used in music therapy: either as a means of communication and self-expression or for the quality inherent restorative or healing," said Bridget O'Connell.

5. Relieve stress
Research in 2011 from the mental health charity shows, nearly a third of people listening to music to give the spirit at work. And one in four people admit that they listen to music while traveling to work to help manage stress.

6. Patient care

Music really can have a significant positive impact on patients with long-term illnesses, such as heart disease, cancer and respiratory conditions.

Many experiments have shown that music can help lower heart rate, blood pressure and help relieve pain, anxiety, and improve the quality of life of patients.
